There are four general environments on the maps where you'll find mushrooms growing: the grass on the top of any section of island, the mud denoted by brown pits with walking boards above them to keep your little froggy feet clean, indoors depending on the air quality, and in the water dotted about as you explore the pond wandering between the island segments.
You don't see too much of this in the demo but there’ll be a lot more aesthetic control too outside the frog ‘decor’ items like the spas and the arches - flooring, decoration, ability to plant and move natural resources etc
Rift Breach was a small game made in 3 weeks as part of a personal game jam by Ell. Taking inspiration from roguelikes, dungeon crawlers, and metroidvanias, they wanted to experiment with having the player themselves decide the layout of the dungeon, and how that would effect 'keys' being a resource.
). We're obsessed with automation games but hated that the theme was also just generic sci-fi, so instead decided to make the theme about mass-producing food so you could literally 'feed the beast'.
With certain mushrooms rarer than others and somewhat difficult to come by because of this, you'll want to save your rarer mushrooms for when you really need them (or at least until you've stocked up on a wealth of them).
For a hint at which mushrooms you'll need to alter genetics required to open Reflection Ponds, check out the little signs just beside the pool itself - these offer a hint at which mushrooms to use in your magic mud to create the frog that opens that Pond.

You’ll need to explore all the regions and meet up with the different members of the salvage team to work on fixing their problems and restoring each part of the pond, from clearing the algae that’s taken over the kindergarten pools, to draining the flooding of the residential district.
